Lately I have been loving the look of oversized outerwear with more form fitting clothes. Not only does an oversized jacket look good draped over shoulders, but also serves a purpose i.e. covering up after accidentally overeating and feeling bloated. I decided to borrow my husband’s selvedge denim jacket (similar) to dress down the look and I think it gives me a masculine/feminine vibe.
Usually you’ll find me in a few basics such as black jeans, a black bodysuit or a black t-shirt. In this case I decided to wear my American Apparel bodysuit with Topshop Joni Jeans under the denim jacket. The look is very reminiscent of Sandy from Grease (LOVE!). I love the look of bodysuits, I am very curvy and I love that it accentuates my curves without having to reveal too much!
My husband has added a lot of “flair” to his jacket, something I am still building on my own denim jackets. I think these pins are cool AF. I love the mix of different shapes and colors, which adds a little extra something to my very basic color palette. A lot of these pins were created from local artist friends and he even created one himself…not a plug but I am so proud of him 🙂
I also added my Steve Madden Slither Sandals and in order to add the feminine vibe to the outfit.
I own several denim jackets, but now I am on the hunt for my own oversized mens jacket… until then I’ll just have to keep “borrowing” this one. How do you like to style your denim jacket? Are you in to the oversized trend? I’d love to hear from you in the comments below!
