Must Have: The Best Ankle Boots for Fall/Winter 2016

Fall is officially here! That means almost putting away those open toe sandals and slipping right into boots once the weather cools off. I live in Maryland and keep checking the weather to find out when the temperature will dip, long range is not looking so good. Although there are likely several weeks of warm weather, that doesn’t mean I can’t start preparing for fall/winter now.

I love ankle boots aka the bootie, and I would wear them all year round if I didn’t live in an area with a very hot summer. Although I own a few very well made boots, I still am on the hunt to add a few more to my collection. I feel like I need want a different style of bootie for each occasion. After “window shopping” online over the last month, I feel like I have collected a good amount of styles to choose from for various occasions. Not to say there won’t be other boots that might one day have a twinkle in my eye once they hit shelves, but for now, I have rounded up the best ankle boots (so far) for Fall/Winter 2016.

Zara is killing it this season! They have come out with so many amazing boots in different textures, heel heights and price points. These High Heel Stretch Leather Ankle Boots will pair so well with skinny jeans or dresses and pencil skirts for the office.

Surprise, another must have ankle boot from Zara. I have these green Leather High Heel Ankle Boots in my cart, trying to talk my self out of buying them, but I am really struggling. I love the sleek leather and the green is so unexpected! I think these will look great casually dressed down with jeans and then dressed up at the office.

I have been eyeing these Loeffler Randall Carmen Ankle Boots since the beginning of summer, and they are on my fall wish list. I love the pointed toe with the wooden heel. The contrasting heel keeps these boots from looking like your basic chelsea boot.

Want to dress like a Parisian? Wear these Parisienne Ankle Boots from & Other Stories. For any gal that works in an office or wants to dress up a bit without sacrificing warmth, these are the shoes! These will also look super cool with ankle jeans for a casual vibe.  The heel is not intimidating and the pointed toe is so sleek!

Acne boots are always going to the “it boots” for me. I have always loved The Pistol Boot, but now I am in love with these Acne Studios Jensen Leather Ankle Chelsea Boots. Look at the details; minimalist, varying textures, low heel and a very pointed toe. These will look so good with ankle jeans and a black sweatshirt. Simply effortless.

I hope I didn’t overwhelm you with too many ankle boots, but seriously who gets tired of looking at beautiful shoes? Not me! Let me know in the comments below what your must have ankle boot crush is for this coming season!

    • I love chelsea boots! They look so casual and effortless and I feel can be dressed up or down!

  • Thanks for the selection!
I might be weird but I find it so hard to shop for ankle boots because I feel like they all look almost the same… I don’t know, maybe it’s me. 🙂

    • I agree with you, it takes time to find the right ankle boots because a lot of brands make the same style year after year. I always look for minor changes such as texture, heel height or color… and gives me an excuse to own more than one 😀

  • The ACNE boots are just an absolute classic, I want a pair so much! Great post, making me feel spendy!

    • Thank you!I Agree, they are so classic!! I’ve been feeling spendy all month hehe 😀
