If you have oily eyelids or hooded eyes, then you know understand the struggle of finding an eyeliner that does not smudge. I have hooded eyes and oil just sits in my crease waiting to ruin any chance of a cat eye that I might have. No matter how much primer and powder I use, without fail eyeliner somehow finds a way to creep onto my crease.
After trying just about every formula that claims to be budge proof, I was starting to gave up on wearing a cat eye… somethings in life are just not meant to be.
I was in Ulta the other day and stumbled upon the LORAC Front of The Line Pro Liquid Eye Liner. I had never tried their liners and decided to take a swatch and was immediately impressed by the control and smoothness that the liner produced on my hand. I decided that I would test it’s staying power and sprayed Urban Decay’s All Nighter on top hoping that once it dried it would lock in place. Success! One dried it did not smudge no matter how hard I tried. So I decided to buy it and try it out.
I know what your thinking…testing on my hand is not a really good indicator that it won’t end up in my crease, but I figured the worst that could happen is I return it.
Before I applied the eyeliner, I primed my lids with NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base and a good amount of Hourglass Ambient Dim Lighting powder. Once applied I sprayed Urban Decay’s All Nighter to make sure it was sealed.
This liner is so easy to use! If you’re not a pro at applying eyeliner, this makes the finest line and is easy to build up to a thicker line. I have a bit of a shaky hand and my eyelid moves a little during application, but the liner applied so smoothly and created a very sharp line! The ink is so black and opaque so you won’t have to worry about going over it a million times.
This eyeliner does not budge at all. I am so wowed by it’s staying power! I applied the liner at 8 a.m. and came home at 5 p.m. and it still looked amazing. I decided I would keep the liner on and head to the gym so I sprayed some more UD All Nighter just in case it couldn’t handle sweat and then headed out.
I have to admit I was kind of nervous about wearing the liner to the gym. I had a very exhausting weight training session and was sweating A LOT! I kept wanting to check in the mirror to see how far it moved but didn’t because I am kind of weird about checking myself out while in the gym. After 45 mins, I moved on to cardio for 15 and sweat was pouring down my face. I just knew for sure I probably was looking like a raccoon; however, it did not move on bit!
I am so impressed with LORAC Front of The Line Pro Liquid Eye Liner!! If you suffer from oily eyelids or a hooded eye, this liner will be your BFF, I swear!
