We’re already in August and I feel like summer is flying by! I’m not too mad at that because I cannot wait for fall weather… honestly my boots and cozy leather jacket have been patiently waiting for me hehe 🙂

On with my favorites! There’s been so many things I have been loving this past July, I couldn’t possibly include them in this post or else it would have been several pages deep. I decided to pick out things I have been reaching for on a daily basis.

Choker: I don’t know if you know this, but chokers are all the rage right now. I am incredibly nostalgic and I grew up in the 90’s so I definitely needed to pick up a few on trend pieces. This one in particular is my go to. I wear this almost every day, which might seem excessive but I really love this trend. I think it looks great dressed up or down, and I even wear it to my office job which can be a little stuffy, but I still love it! Someone recently told me they hadn’t seen a choker in decades and I let them know it’s here to stay at least in my foreseeable future. I picked this one and a lilac colored one from Etsy, but I believe you can also source the rope yourself for a cool DIY. If you want to see this choker in action take a look at my Instagram account @makeupwearsoff.

Cluse Watch: I have never really been a watch person. I’ve always envied those who do, but with modern technology I typically found I didn’t need one and honestly most of the styles I have seen weren’t all that. I decided one day I would buy a watch because I found myself way too many times without a phone and not knowing what time it was or needed a nifty excuse to get out of a convo by swiftly looking at my watch to avoid looking rude on my cell. I knew it had to be minimal and picked up a pink and rose gold one from Cluse @ Need Supply (similar one here). I quickly realized how hard it was to wear pink all of the time and how I longed for a black one. I saw this Cluse watch on sale at Need Supply and rushed this into my cart thinking this was a mistake. I absolutely love this watch. Although I usually wear yellow gold, I have been willing to overlook the mismatch hardware faux pas.  Now if you ever see me and need the time you know I’ve got you!!

COS Silver Wooden Heel Strap Sandals: I typically have my go to stores… Zara being number 1. I decided to branch out because I haven’t been a fan of their quality lately and they didn’t have what I was looking for. I was thinking of stores and remembered COS. I’ve never bought anything from them… once I was temped to when I first looked in their store in Paris, but I decided not to pick up anything. I am so happy their name popped up in my head! As soon as I saw these shoes I was IN LOVE. I have always lusted after silver shoes but too afraid they would look strange on me. Well I decided it was time and these are my absolute favorite shoes of the moment! I have been wearing them to work, even though being in a corporate office, I get the occasional weird look. But often enough I get so many complements and I understand why… I think they are freaking gorgeous. You can pick them up from COS!

Glossier Haloscope Highlighter in Topaz: I have been a loyal Into the Gloss reader for about 4 years. I am not going to lie, when they came out with a skincare line I was really hesitant, but at the same time I thought it was genius! They KNOW skincare and makeup due to the fact that they have tons of inspiration from their awesome stories and their loyal readers certainly love to share recommendations in the comment section. It took me a while to jump on board after humming and hawing over their Milky Jelly (that will be a post for another day). When they came out with Haloscope I knew I had to get my hands on it. Not only do they have fantastic packaging,  haloscope is made with REAL CRYSTALS… that’s right I said real crystals!

Alright onto the formula; this stuff looks amazing especially on tan skin and it makes you glow but not a shiny slathered yourself in coconut oil look. I dab it on my cheekbones for a lit from within look. This one is a keeper and cant wait for the the Quartz color which is currently on backorder. I want you to try Glossier, use my link to get 20% off your first purchase!

Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelée: I was in Sephora browsing around and saw this Josie Maran Cheek Gelee and was in love. It’s so bright and cheery I had to buy it. I got home and was unsure of the formula but after several tries I realized this is amazing. It’s such a pretty color, very coral/reddish and it just makes your cheeks pop. It lasts all day long and I love to layer this with other cream/gel cheek formulas. Apparently this is limited edition and hard to get a hold of so grab it while you can!

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray: I bought the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray a long long time ago and I honestly didn’t get it. This was more than 6 years ago and it just sat on my shelf collecting dust. I eventually tossed it and never looked back. Then I was on the hunt for a setting spray and of course this one was available and I thought I would give it another go. Well I don’t know if it’s because my beauty palette has matured, but this stuff has been a powerhouse in making my makeup last. I sit in hot florescent lights all day long, which can melt makeup and make me look dull but this really helps hold up my makeup. In the summer time it’s especially important to me to have something to keep my makeup going day to night since the sun usually melts it off in less than 2 hours. I only picked up the travel size but when I re-up I am definitely picking up a full size!

Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation SPF 15: I have been a loyal NARS Sheer Glow Foundation owner countless bottles over. I never needed any other foundation until I realized the color I was using was so wrong for me. I went looking for another shade but was devastated to find nothing matched. I decided to try another brand and let me tell you, finding new foundation is one of the hardest things I have had to do, because not only does the formula need to be right but it is so hard to match on my skin tone. Since LancômeTeint Idole has a ton of shades and it was matched to me using the Sephora Color IQ, I decided to try it out. The shade I have is 370 Bisque which has more yellow undertones. The formula is semi matte, or maybe more like velvet and stays on all day long! It keeps the glow but is not too shiny and it does oxidate a little bit, so if you decide to pick this up test out your shade before you commit.

Nyx Cream Blush in Orange: I was out shopping one day at a mall I rarely ever go to and was shocked to see there was a Nyx retail stand alone store… I immediately ran in hoping to find some awesome stuff that I can’t pick up in the drugstore and boy was I wow’d! There was so much to choose from I was honestly a little overwhelmed. I decided to keep calm and only pick up stuff I haven’t seen at my local Ulta or CVS. I ended up choosing this bright orange cream blush from Nyx. I figured it would look great against my skin tone and I was right. I typically apply this with a Real Techniques expert face brush and it just makes my skin glow!! It’s now a weekly, and almost daily staple.

If you have tried any of my favorites let me know in the comments below what you think and if you have any product recommendations I would love to hear!
